As above,

Has anyone ever used or seen an aluminium crank pulley for the 8v?

i was thinkin on my race 205 that because i dont actually run an alternator i might get a standard pulley lathed down so its just the bit that goes over the crank, i dont need the timing hole in it because i run a vernier cam pulley and have dial guages to find TDC etc, would save a few hundred grams, any weight reduction for the engine to turn in my eys is a good thing, just like an ally flywheel if you like!!

just a thought as i do have spare crank pulleys kickin around

Made it out of 6022 T4 aluminium, more than strong enough and very light.
