Details And Pics Of Spoox Cf Bonnets Please

Im thinking about buying a Spoox CF bonnet, but I would like your help/knoledge/experiance please.

 

Firstly do these have the innards (frame work etc..),

Can they be mounted to the orginal hindges or are they pins only?

What about a bonnet catch? (just wondering as otherwise its ugly locking pins, car isnt garaged)

 

Im a Fitter and so poor panel gaps annoy the hell out of me. Will I be dissapointed?

 

Is there a better place to get one other than spoox (in this price range)

Im sure theres a few people on here who have moulds for making bonnets,check the group buys and for sale sections.

 

as for spooks quality im not sure but for the money you'd hope they'd be top quality.

 

im fairly sure you have to pin them down.

Well yeah. Surf there website. Mean, they sell 1.6 GTi ECU's for £47...

I've recently bought a Fibre Glass bonnet from Spoox and must say I'm very impressed with the quality. I haven't had chance to try and fit it yet, so can't really comment on the panel gaps etc...

 

Couldn't quite stretch to a carbon fibre bonnet and, like an earlier post suggests, tried a few different places for one at a better price. Didn't get much of a response from any though...

xsport have a mould but if you want a clearcoat gel to show off the weave then I dont think they have any wide enough carbon

Gel coat is a must IIRC x-sports is just a skin = no good for me.

 

Ive looked in teh group buys and other topics and theres a lot of talk but no bonnets

Are you sure xsport can only produce a skin? I'm under the impression they redid their mould.

Spoox don't make their bonnets, so you would be better off going direct to CCF

nope though i think they are on ebay etc. personally i'll be going to xsport for one.
