SIDCPHIL 0 Posted April 13, 2008 Whilst in the middle of stripping out my little baby my Son has fiddled with the steering lock and jammed it on The key won't go into the lock far enough !! So the plan was to dismantle But how the hell can I get the ignition lock out without the key I am planning on push button start so not bothered about the barrell but its LOCKED atm PLEASE HELP HOW CAN I REMOVE IT
Baz 421 Posted April 13, 2008 (edited) The key needs to be in the barrell so that then those pins you can see in the last pic can be pushed in, then the barrell will withdraw from the column. Edited April 13, 2008 by Baz

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted April 13, 2008 Just prize the metal bit's away, then you can weld it back up to stop it coming out again

Dremel the pins away. Or it won't really hurt to angle grind across the pins.

Paintguy 0 Posted April 13, 2008 LOL was waiting for the Angle Grinder Option It's the forums motto - "If in doubt, get the angle grinder out"
boombang 2 Posted April 13, 2008 I've got a spare column here (does have igniton barrel but I've not got the key for it). Cut/bend it so you can get lock out, sort the lock and buy the column off me for a couple of beer tokens? I'm only in Brentwood.
