Dipstick Oil Seal?!

Recommended Posts

Hello all.... just getting the Pug ready for a summer of fun :-)

Spotted yet another oil leak from where the dipstick goes into the block... I havent taken it off yet but I heard a rumour that there is a rubber oil seal that is obviously not doing it's job.

Is this seal available anywhere other than a Pug dealership!?!?!?! Hereford Pug is no more so I'm looking at a 45min trip.......

Or does anyone know more about this?!?!?

Thanks all!

No need for seal , just use some sealant :( - pull the dipstick out from the block , clean the lower surface which goes inside the block hole , smear some sealant on the mating surface and press the dipstick back inside the block hole .

Rgs ! :(
