Mi On Blackbird Carbs

hi i've nearly finished my mi16 transplant into my 205 . It is on blackbird carbs and i was just wondering if anyone else has done this and what throttle linkages they used?

Can't really help as I moved abroad before getting my BB carbs on an engine.

 

Which reminds me... I still have a set of BB carbs somewhere at home!

 

If you get this up and running, I guess I may well offer them here as I doubt I will ever get round to using them now!

 

I think there is some linkage advice in the long thread Dreamweaver started about his bike TB's, I expect it can be applied to all 'bike induction' for the XU engine. There is also a bike carb fitting article that I found here a few years ago... it may be of use to you or some others!

Good luck mate and keep us updated with your progress.

 

I would have thought that BB carbs were a good choice as they are from a higher capacity, lower revving engine than some of these more 'modern' carbs, making them marginally more 'bolt on' than the others... But I guess we shall find out!!
