Coonper 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Is there any way of knowing if my mi16 has high lift cams without stripping down the engine?? One of my mates said that it wil sound lumpy on tickover, which it does... But surely this is a bad thing?? Heres a vid of it on tickover. Mi16 on tickover
pee vee 1 Posted April 6, 2008 Impossible to tell from that IMO. dont sound like it is though. it sounds way more stable idle than mine LOL (but i think mine must be to do with shortened inlet manifold )
M@tt 77 Posted April 6, 2008 you can remove the cam cover and look at the cams themselves, there will be some stampings on the cams somewhere. Rotate the cams via the crankshaft pulley nut to check the other side of the cam if you can't see anything. post up what you find and someone shoul dbe a ble to tell you Should be a 10 min job to take cam cover off
