SIDCPHIL 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Can't seem to get the key into the barrel Bleeding kids fidling How easy is it to remove the ignition barrell?
Rob Turbo 3 Posted April 5, 2008 You need the key in the barrell to remove it, there's a pin on the bottom of the barrell that pokes into a hole in the column, you turn the key and press the pin in to pull the barrell out
SIDCPHIL 0 Posted April 5, 2008 It looks like that pin may have dropped down because I can't get the key fully in Any Ideas
Jrod 7 Posted April 5, 2008 Try wiggling the wheel when putting the key in.
SIDCPHIL 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Tried that It looks like the pin had dropped so the key can't go all the way in
duncs 0 Posted April 5, 2008 iv had this problem and the way i got round it was to take of the wheel and indicator stalks etc then undo the torx holding the column on, then buffed the two pins down so that it came free, this isnt the ideal way to do it but my key had snapped in the lock at the time plus i was pretty pissed off as well so using the grinder helped my stress level at the time
SIDCPHIL 0 Posted April 5, 2008 I am happy to fit just a push start button and remove the key altogether But at the moment I would just like to free the steering as I can't get it on the trailer to get it back to the garage
