McDude 33 Posted April 4, 2008 I've taken my seats out to get them professionally refurbed, but when the driver's one goes back in I'm going to remove the tilt mechanism to drop the seat down - I've also ordered a 5-door seatbelt clasp bracket. When I took the seats out I see they sit on ~7mm plastic spacers. I'm guessing they don't really need to. Surely a big washer would do the job?!?! Can anyone confirm this? I reckon combined it will give me another 40mm of head room (much needed).
Dan Ingram 1 Posted April 4, 2008 The spacers are there the give the runners some clearance from the carpet so they can move back and forth. If you not using runners then you wont really need them at all.
McDude 33 Posted April 4, 2008 I'm still going to use the runners, but not the tilt. If you put some plastic under the runners so that you didn't snag the carpet, surely that would be okay?
Baz 421 Posted April 4, 2008 I'm sure some thinner washers would be ok.
