driversdomainuk 8 Posted April 4, 2008 Hi Have noticed a few timed whilst doing a few heavy brake tests (see previous posts about my rear brake issues!) that the oil pressure light comes on. Not when I am cornering at speed, just when braking. I thought, due to the sump design this would be unlikely as the oil would not be able to move that far forward away from the oil pump... any ideas..? Cheers
Anthony 1,003 Posted April 4, 2008 Stupid question, but you have checked the oil level, haven't you? If it's low enough, you can easily get surge under braking... although it's usually bad when cornering at that level too.
Bakes100 20 1 Cars Posted April 4, 2008 My 306 xsi did that once when the oil was a bit low, slammed on the brakes and the oil light flashed on for a second
