How To Remove A Stereo With Standard Din Keys ?

Trying to get my factory stereo out to replace it with an Alpine CD/MP3 unit but i cant get the old stereo out, I bought keys that slot into the 4 holes on the front, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. With the keys fully inserted it still feels as locked in place as it was without them! Can anyone help me?

Probably just need to push them in as far as they will go and then wiggle them about a bit to release the latches. Use the tape hole (if it's got one) for extra purchase.

Cheers, got it out eventually, just needed taking to the point of where you've tried so hard for so long pulling and wiggling it that you're past the point of caring whether or not its going to break!
