welshpug 1,661 Posted March 31, 2008 senses the Manifold Absolute Pressure, in other word the load on the engine, coupled with input from the throttle potentiometer it has a finer degree of control over the ignition and fuelling than the older Motronic + jetronic system. its also made for that engine, which the 1.9 system certainly isnt. Miles 331 1 Cars Posted March 31, 2008 I;ve done a few like this and to be honest it is better than all the 2.0 rubbish, You'll just need the 1.9 inlet cam and stat housing, block the oil drain hole with a core plug and thats basically it, Mine made about 170bhp and good torque running a std engine bar a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. Don't know the differences between lift & durantion but the Mi inlet has the tab & threaded end for the rotor arm to fit the end of the cam afaik. Not enough for the effort of a cam swap in my opinion, but you'll need one if you want to run a dizzy. You'll need to fit cam seals on the dizzy end. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
