Couple Of Mi Conversion Questions

Recommended Posts

Dan Ingram

I've just got a couple of quick questions if anyone can help.

In the picture I need to know where a couple of things go.

Red- Does this connect to the fuel pressure regulator?

Blue- Where does that go?

Green- Goes to the brake servo?

Yellow, Pink & Turquoise- Where do they go?

On this picture the red bit plugs in to the rad. The blue bit has never been connected to anything and I have no idea where it goes to, any ideas?

As far as i can remember;

Red. yes, fpr

Blue not needed if you use green as the brake servo.

Gren. as above

Yellow, small breather pipe on filler body/tower

Pink & Turq. Coolant for heated TB, don't bother...

Blue one, there's usually a plug like that that does nothing, no idea either i'm afraid!!

Red is the fuel pressure reg as you say, cant remember about blue and green, though obviously one is brake servo, and the other goes to the breather system.

Yellow also goes to the breather system, pink and turquoise are part of the cooling system heating the throttle body, but typically are not used in mi16 conversions.

Blue is redundant but iirc has some use in testing the fans, if you bridge the pins perhaps.

Best thing to do probably is have a look at the engine bay pic thread and all will become clear with order of the breather/servo hoses etc

On mine, blue goes to the Idle Air Control Valve - other side of the valve connects to the other side of the throttle body (one of the connectors in the rubber cercertina hose bit linking the T/B to the air filter.
