AdamVester 0 Posted March 25, 2008 ok engines in all wired up correctly i beleave.. but the thing wont start.. it turns over but doesnt run it has fule going to it and spark but still wont go any ideas? bad earth, wireing someware? the engines been hardily used in the last 3 years basicly it was stood a while then a friend of mine got hold of it and got it running and then took it out and there is sat in the corner of his unit for a year (or there abouts). um engine looks clean and as i said was running when taken out fine, we are using the original mi16 wireing loom, inlet manifold, manifold, 3 row mi16 ecu using everything from the same car the engine came from when it was running last. none of the stuffs been used since and its all be stored together. the only real thing engine wise thats been touched is its had new plugs and leads, alternator belt and the wireing loom been spliced with the 205 loom to make it work.. ideas? Coonper 0 Posted March 26, 2008 If you have a spark and fuel there is no reason why it shouldnt at least fire. Are the plugs wet? Has it got an air leak anywhere? As in, inlet manifold, induction piping etc?

pugman211 0 Posted March 26, 2008 mine had been standing for ages when i installed it, started after about 30 minutes of cranking. I'd crank it for a bit, then leave it for 5 minutes so it didnt flood. Was about to give up and then it just coughed, started up and idled perfect!!! (which i was amazed by!) DrSarty 90 1 Cars Posted March 26, 2008 Add a quick 4 second squirt of Easy Start down the TB, once you've triple checked your firing/plug order is correct.
