Anyone Ever Had A Go At Fitting 306 Gti6 Driveshafts?

Recommended Posts

I was servicing my 306 the other day and noticed that the shafts are substantial to say the least. I just wondered if anyone had ever attempted to have a pair shortened and fitted them onto a 205?

I might get hold of a 2nd hand set and give it a whirl, any input/ideas???

They'd be hollow if they are large diameter, not 306 shafts I know but Hilgie has done similar with 406 shafts and they're even fatter :)

they wont need much removing especially if neg camber arms are used.

I dont use negative camber arms, especially on road cars. They drive s*ite. I think the best thing to do is go and get a paur of second hand ones and see what happens.....

they will be stronger than 205 ones as having the hollow centre actually makes them stronger, i have a set of used ones if you wanna try a set

yeah look much stronger, but aren't they too long for a 205 in standard form?

Colin shortens these and 406 TD ones for the competition 205s. The 406 ones are bullet proof, even with Avon's softest slicks.
