Maximum Wheel Width And Offset

Recommended Posts

jonnygoodhand

I've been offered some wheels for my 205 Rallye, but unsure if they'll fit.

They're 15" 6.75J ET8 - will these fit under standard arches, or will some modifaction be required?

Cheers

my Ronal's are 7J ET7 and fit fine... maybe stick a little bit out of front arches.

they won't catch the arches either, unless it's too lowered at the rear.

you can see some pics in this topic:

p.s. the tyres i run are 195/50/15.

hope this helps .

These are for a UK Rallye though which is basically an XS shell, so the rear arch profile is totally different to a GTI

I don't think they will fit to be honest, running GTI wheels which were 6J and et19(?) was a tight fit, not only are these wider but they will stick out more.

Cheers, guys.

I like the delicacy of the traditional steels as it is, but thought as they were going cheap, it might be worth a try for comparison.

Guess I'll have to continue my hunt for some C5 Alloy Steelies...
