Heater Blower

Recommended Posts

Wallby

Hello all,

After owning my 205 for a few months now, trying to get the heater working over the easter break. After looking at other posts I started looking for faults. When I looked at the blower, I found that there are 2 yellow earth wires and a 5 pin plug with red, blue and white wires coming off it, not connected to anything! I havent got a clue what these wires are or what they should connect to! Any help would be great!

Heres a pic to show what i mean.

Thanks!

Link doesn't work!

Without looking it sounds like the wiring to the heater (resistor?) there should be a matching socket in the passengers interior wheelarch, to the right of the blower motor, facing down. It should belong to a module which is held in place with 2 screws, if there is just a rectangular hole here, you need a module!.

Thanks for that.

Found the module and connected the pin, still doesnt work! Is this the only connector to the blower? Also, the module looked a bit old and rusty so this could be faulty. Is there a way of testing the blower?

Thanks

You can test the fan by applying 12V across it, might be worth whipping it out to do this, its only 3 screws and you will be able to see if its seized.
