Standard Springs With Uprated Shocks?

Recommended Posts

OK, bit different than the usual lowered springs on standard shocks, lol

I have some 306 shocks at home that look pretty much exactly the same size as my 205 ones (I hear they are a good upgrade). So was thinking about putting the uprated shocks on for better damping, but with standard springs.

Currently running lowered springs on standard shocks, but one spring has gone saggy and need a quick fix.

Can anyone think why my idea would be bad?

It works fine - I ran my old 309 Goodwood on Bilstein Sport shocks and standard 309 GTi springs for 10k miles without any issue and it felt very nice to drive, with plenty of damping and excellent ride comfort from the standard springs.
