pete1986 2 Posted March 13, 2008 It just swings freely, occasionaly crushing my leg when its windy!! It doesnt lock in the fully or half open positions anymore. It's also dropped about half an inch, so it doesnt line up with the rear window. Is it a case of getting new hinges fitted?

boldy205 75 Posted March 13, 2008 can you just get new roll pins rather than a whole new hinge?
Paintguy 0 Posted March 14, 2008 can you just get new roll pins rather than a whole new hinge? Yes, but it's quite common for the hinges to have worn as well, so new pins only give a partial cure. The subject has been covered many times before, so a search will bring up much more detail
