GLPoomobile 958 Posted March 12, 2008 I'm assuming that the digital clock (as in the one that tells you the time ) from a Citroen BX will fit a 205 as they look the same and I know they share some interior parts. Does anyone know if they are illuminated green as opposed to the 205's orange ones? Just interested as I have a BX instrument cluster to go in and that has green illumination. Super Josh 4 Posted March 12, 2008 I would assume so Steve, especially as the clocks are green. Would look cool to completely 'Greenify' the 205 illumination. Is that your plan? Josh
GLPoomobile 958 Posted March 12, 2008 Plan? All I f***ing do is plan 101 jobs on my mind but do I ever get off my arse and do any? (to be fair I did eventually work up the motivation last night to finish de-rusting my subframe and ARB ready for painting. Wish I'd just got them shot blasted though ). Anyhoo..........yes, I would prefer to go green on all the illumination. It's never going to be 100% though as the switches in the center and the heater controls are the problem. I've posted about all this before, but with regards to the heater dials you've got those damned orange inserts in the back of them and I don;t know how to overcome the problem. I could use some green varnish on the tip but that would probably make the illumination pointlessly dark. But lets not go down that discussion route just now.................can anyone confirm about the clock? EDIT: oh and Josh, I've got a 106 wiper motor on the way. Who will be first to fit and test theirs I wonder? Well I wouldn't stake money on me, that's for sure
Super Josh 4 Posted March 12, 2008 Steve you might be the first to fit the wiper motor, I've got a few more pressing jobs to do first. Maybe we should have a competition. It might give us both a kick up the backside to get things done Josh
jackherer 543 Posted March 12, 2008 can anyone confirm about the clock? Yes, its 100% identical apart from green illumination.

I cant help myself sorry!! Your right ive tried it an it does go dark, to the point you cant see where your control is set. But its in keeping with the rest of the components.
