Speedo Drive

My speedo stopped working the other day, it started as a rattle behind the dials, then the needle started to twitch, then it started to work on and off, like work up to 60 then drop down to 40, then it just stopped working altogether.

It's on the 306, which doesn't have a clip to hold the cable in place, there's a plastic bit that holds the cable in the dash and the dials just screw in place over it, I took the dials out and drove the car down the street and the cable didn't turn, so it's not just that it isn't in the back of the dials properly and I put a screwdriver in the hole on the back of the speedo and spun it and the needle moved so the speedo works! If you get hold of the square end you can turn the cable but it's not exactly gliding round so could be a snapped cable I suppose, but I have a feeling it might be the plastic cog thing that drives the speedo drive.

I haven't had chance to take the cable out of the gearbox to check it from that end but fingers crossed it's just the cable!

But, on servicebox there's 2 different drive cogs listed, something like 19DTS and 22DTS, both of them have my gearbox listed beside them, so which one will I need? It's a 306 DTurbo gearbox if that helps?
