Attatching Gearbox When Engine Out Of Car

Got motor ready and going to fit clutch and gearbox but the engine is on an engine stand and I cant get at the clutch or fit the gearbox so any suggestions

 

Probably have to hang it from the roof again.....

You can either do it on the floor or do when its on the crane as long as you've got a helping hand. You can do it on the floor by your self though.

stick it on the kitchen table...

 

might need someone to hold the engine steady as it might not want to sit on the sump.

 

or are you needing a way of removing it from the stand?

Problem is, cant move car as it is up on blocks because my pit is only 4 feet deep (make sense?)

Main joist for lifting on is directly over the engine bay n/s to o/s

Engine on stand

Lot of messing about to hoist engine off stand but it will have to be done, just dont feel like it as its cold and raining but maybe after tea
