lagonda 42 Posted March 7, 2008 Owned my CTi since 2003 and I've never been happy with the performance. Rebuilding the engine didn't help much, despite high hopes. Brakes have been crap for some time, only now really good now I've replaced the master cylinder. When I removed old m/c, I noticed the rubber seal where it mates to the servo was fairly knackered. Stains on the m/c show where air had been entering the servo .... which of course relies on vacuum from the inlet manifold. Would never have thought of checking for a leak there, it's not included in the Haynes joke book diagram of places to check. You really wouldn't believe the difference this has made to the performance, it has totally transformed the car!
