Mi16 Oil Level Gauge For 205

hello all,

 

had a idea, thought of buying a seperate gauge for my oil level, and was wondering if anyboby has done it, and if so is it worth it.

 

i have looked for a gauge but can find one anywhere, anybody have any ideas.? i have read on forum that the level sensor is useless so thats putting me off.

 

 

i was wanting a seperate gauge that i can locate near my dash.

the ZX 306 and 405 (possibly the BX as well?) have a gauge that incorporated oil level on 2nd turn then oil temp or pressure when the engine is running, not sure how it works but I think its all contained in the gauge itself.

yeah i have heard that and seen it, but wonder how i would wire that up?

The BX instruments (which swap straight in to the 205 housing) have this function as WP says, but I have searched in the past and never found a straight answer as to how you can get this to work in the 205.

 

The other problem with swapping the BX gauges in to the 205 is that due to this extra function there is a problem with the oil pressure gauge functioning. I think there is a solution to that but can't remember what.
