fiji bob 0 Posted March 5, 2008 i fixed a damaged injector cable but have another problem, with everything connected the fuel pump starts and stops at regular intervals coinciding with the rev counter reading 1500 rpm theres a fairly quiet noise that sounds like it might be coming from the starter motor but its hard to pin it down any ideas? Anthony 1,003 Posted March 5, 2008 I'd try another tachymetic relay first if I were you, as that's the only direct link between revs and the fuel pump.
fiji bob 0 Posted March 5, 2008 (edited) ill have a look at it thanks, just noticed it conincides with the battery charger cycling on and off, this is with the ignition on, surely that wouldnt trigger the relay would it? Anthony 1,003 Posted March 5, 2008 Oh, hang on - this is without the engine running? Unplug the battery charger - does it stop doing it then?
fiji bob 0 Posted March 7, 2008 yes, i thought it was strange that it had that affect on the electrical system but having said that im not sure ive ever had the ignition on while charging the battery
