As the title says...are they the same?? apart from the obvious different length of track rods.

cosmetically they look the same, the mounting lugs are definitely in the same place on the rack body.

i'm not sure whether the lower column is the same tho, i have a feeling it isn't. nor am I sure about the turns lock to lock

306 and 205 racks different but xsara and 306 are the same expect the xsara ones are quicker, many 306 boys upgrade to the xsara quick rack

Xsara/306 rack is similar to 205. The base Xsara has 2,9 lock and the VTS with XU10J4RS has only 2,4 lock. It should be a real Hottie!

They have square pinion axle, so its easy to mix and match bottom steering axle.

Only thing to look after is space between the PAS and exhaustmanifoil if you are running 4-1. I think most 4-2-1 will have good clearance.

So basically it phisically fits, and bolts up as normal, but the problem of the steering column combatibility needs to be overcome?

Wonder if it would suffer with play at the straight ahead in the same way as the 205/309 racks with no assitance......

I've found that every single PSA product does this, its more a fact of the geometry than anything else I thought, you just notice it more without assistance.
