DamirGTI 344 Posted March 5, 2008 You mean how long does this conversion takes ? well id say one (full) day , if you have all the necessary tools (engine jack) cos it's plug and play conversion no need to modify anything just to remove your old engine out , fit new one inside - wire it up and off you go Rgs ! djinuk 2 Posted March 5, 2008 i have a cheap 1.9 engine for sale, you may just need to replace a valve... or 2. however it does have all enw steam seals etc, If you want to take it £40 and its yours , i even have engine hoist to lift it into van/car
Grim.Badger 15 Posted March 5, 2008 Its an easy job, I did mine over a short weekend on my own without an engine crane; just be careful and think about where everything has to go. Its easiest if you remove the exhaust manifold first but not much different really. Are you going from 1.6 to 1.9? Have a search before you do this as a lot of people prefer the 1.6. hodgy 0 Posted March 5, 2008 only prob i had when i did mine is i went from a ph1 - ph2 engine so the coil is different and in a different place so i just used the ph1 inlet and its all good. gauges worked so its really easy
large 33 Posted March 6, 2008 I did this not so long ago. I would give yourself a good weekend and mark everything up. This has been coverd many times and a search will bring up loads of info and was a massive help.
