wardy18 33 1 Cars Posted March 4, 2008 Ok so before i start tightenin things up i wanna check on a couple of things Pics 1 and 2 show the selector shaft, the red arrows point to a washer that im 99% sure is where its meant to be, it seems to just float along the selector shaft, but i think its there so that as in the 2nd pic when u select 5th the spring is compressed between the 2 black plastic holders either side, i assume this washer is there to add extra support to the black holder which its being pushed back by the selector to get to 5th?! is tis correct or have i got it in the wrong place?! In pics 3 4 and 5 you have the output shaft i think it is, now the selector arms which wrap around the cogs to change gear, does it look in the right place as there is a small plate disc below it, i assume the arm uses the cog above and the plate below to change the gears and will just allow the gears to spin freely, now shoudl the arm forks that wrap around the gear be above or below that plate?! does anyone know, if so id be very grateful if you could confirm ive got it right or wrong?! i have teh haynes and also the detailed CWP change details but neither show clear pictures!!
