Couple Of Braking Questions....

Recommended Posts

Retro Pug

Yesterday I got around to changing my rear drums and shoes.

After having to visit two separate motor factors for brake cylinders I put everything back together bled the brakes and went on my way. On the way home I realised I’d left the brake reservoir cap on the top of the engine and now it’s gone forever……

I now have some cardboard and gaffer tape wrapped around the reservoir!

What’s worse is that I still have the brake judder I was trying to eliminate!

1. Do GSF or Euro Car parts sell these caps?

2. Is it dangerous to drive in it's current state?

3. What is this judder, someone has previously mentioned a bent stub axel, but would'nt I feel this all the time?

4. Am I the only one to do this? :)

Cheers

John.

3. - No idea not seen your other thread

4. - I seriously doubt it. I've done it before with my expansion tank cap

1, possible, easier to visit a scrappy and get one, most peugeot one will fit.

2 indeedy, especially as the resevoir sits above the exhaust manifold...

3, judder could be oval Drums, not unknown.

4, far from it!

I've called a local scrappy who has a few 206s are these likely to fit?
