chadney123 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Hi im thinking of replacing front and back suspension on my 205 GTI. I just want to replace with OE standard, but i dont want it lowered. Do i buy new springs, or can i use my old ones. If i do buy new springs, where do i get non-lowering ones. Also does any body no where to get surspension cheap??? Miles 331 1 Cars Posted March 4, 2008 There's no reason not to use your old springs as they rarely give problems on the 205, For Dampers the Billy Streetline front's are fine but do not use the rear's as your better off with a 20 yr old Pug Damper they are that bad, A cheap way is to use a 306 Rear Damper off a GTi6
de Noir 0 Posted March 5, 2008 Miles, is it possible that B6 rear damper doesn't work as it should because of steep operating angle?
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted March 5, 2008 The Streetlines are B4's but the ratio of the damper operation is one of the strong point;s of all the other Billies so I doubt this very much, I did tell them about it but it fell on deaf ears
