Which Red Top

Would like to use a Varley Red Top battery now that I've moved things to the boot but the question is which one?

Even the little RedTop 15 can deliver 550A cranking amps so who's fitted one and which one did you choose? (This is essentially a road going car that's kind of mid way to turning into a track day car so I've still got to be able to run lights, heater blah blah...)

Many thanks.

From experience i'd say a red top 30 is a minimum and a 40 is perfectly adequate.

We run 30's on lots of rally cars and tend to run a 40 on those that do night satges with lots of lamppod useage. The Mitsubishi WRC's used a red top 60.

Excellent - thanks for that.
