Making Your Own Pedal Box Doable ?

Recommended Posts

arnold naber

Hi,

I'm currently working on my 1.3 rallye. I saw some pedalboxes in rallyes and they dont seem to hard to make..

I cant find a how to on the forum ? is there someone who has done this ?

I have currently 307 front brakes an a standard rear axel. That is going to be replaced with a disc rearbeam in the winter. What mastercylinders could i use for the front and rear ?

Arnold

i made one in my dad's shed with just basic hand tolls, a drill and a welder. i got the bias bar from demon tweeks and some master cylinders from my local motor factor. mine has been on for 2 years and done the ring twice and loads of track days in the uk, i will try and find some pics

MW motorsport do 205 pegal boxes for £70 exchange and they are a really nice bit of kit. That price is for the std pedal box modified and the bias bar fitted, you need to add your master cyls and a dash adjuster as well but its not worth the effort to make your own in my opinion. I made my own but after a few issues i decided to get the MW one and i was very happy.

i would make my own again, just for the sense of achievment. but if i did it again i wouldn't use the demon tweeks set up and would use a rose joint and some threaded bar. its really not difficult, i'm a thicko fork lift engineer and i managed it!!
