Right, im currently in the middle of a gti-6 conversion. I've had a few set backs with it but i'm getting back on course and hope to finish in my easter holidays. I've just got another £1000 through which I can afford to spend on her. I've just sent of a cheque for some gti6 brakes so thats £120 gone. Bearing in mind the rear beam is good...what should be next to improve the handling? It's going to have the extra weight obviously so should I be looking at a sprintline kit or 309 running gear? If the latter, can I just get a break down of what I need?

Just want to make sure im doing the right thing with it

Cheers

Hi si, I take it you've converted to 1.9 hubs now as you're fitting gti-6 brakes??

Is the car mainly for road use? I'd be looking at a set of 309 wishbones and driveshafts, an uprated rear arb, and Grp.n Bilstein dampers. Fit some Grp.N top mounts and Grp.A rear beam mounts while you're at it, these both make a really good improvement!

Yeah ive got 1.9 hubs now. It will be used mostly on the road with a few trackdays now and then. Ive got Grp N topmounts and solid rears so thats all taken care of. Thats sounds good though Oli, cheers

I can't give you advice on the specifics but I think you should consider uprating the rear ARB and torsion bars.

I guess you've still got the Eibach springs, so team that with some good dampers and that should be a good start.
