Calling All Rear Beam Pros

Recommended Posts

Atari Boy

I have today stripped a rear beam and I would like your opinion on the shafts.

I managed to get it apart really quite easily; I did not remove the offset washers is this bad?

Am I in luck?

looks like you got to it in the nick of time, bearings still intact but fookt, shafts dead too IMO

by not removing the offset washers I gather you just removed the arms with the torsion bar still attached, you will need to remove them if you wish to set it at a different height to what it was originally.

Both shafts are knackered, although the tube looks like its salvageable. Basically any pitting/lumpiness/scoring on the shafts renders them scrap.
