Td, Battery Light On Feint All The Time?

when starting up the car the battery light is only on feint, when the car is running it stays on feint, am i right in thinking its either the alternator or battery?

P.S. it stays on all the time the keys are in the ignition, at the first click round on the ignition barrel to engine stop.

Could just be loose connections or corroded wiring, check the small spade and ring connector going to the alternator along with the battery leads then if u still have a dim light light start looking at the battery/alternator. You can get the battery tested at a garage if you dont have a multimeter.

Also try the wiring and connectors at the power distribution block. The often corrode and snap.

if the battery voltage is 13.5 - 14.5 volts when running the alternator is charging and it will be a wiring problem
