stux 0 Posted February 24, 2008 Hi Everyone. I’ve got couple questions about XU10J4 engine. What is the most frequently measured power of the engine after 110 000miles? My friend’s done few mods: - ported, polished and skimmed (0,5mm) head, 3 angle seat and valves, #3 inlet cam pulley, sport air filter, exhaust without cat. Unfortunately he hasn’t measured it before modifications, and that is why I wonder if the mods gave anything. This are the two graphs from 2 different dynos ... - 156bhp/7000rpm, 174Nm/3800rpm - http://gti.peugeot205.pl/gallery/album01/ZX_zen - 152bhp/6400rpm, 181Nm/3700rpm - http://gti.peugeot205.pl/gallery/album01/Citroen_zenus81 Is Gti-6 inlet manifold a good idea to gain few more horses? welshpug 1,661 Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) I have the very same engine in my 405, it has done 99k miles and has not a single modification bar a freeflowing replica of the factory exhaust (CAT still present) http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f169/wel...16/l275xwk2.jpg Edited February 24, 2008 by welshpug

Baz 421 Posted July 23, 2008 Simple answer, 155bhp.
monty69 6 Posted July 23, 2008 Mine was really gutless when decatd, i wouldnt expect any major power increases without a remap(if poss) unless head done by a pro. Then again i wouldnt mess with the head without cams. I think the acav manifold is great when working properly, should change over to bigger tracts at 5k
VisaGTi16v 1 Posted July 23, 2008 Don't forget that in the UK at least the book figures for the ZX 16v was 150bhp for over a year whereas the mk2 405 Mi16 and 306 S16 were always 155. So if the book figure was 150bhp, not many engines hit the claimed power so may have only been 145 ish so 156 sounds about right perhaps
