Bakes100 20 1 Cars Posted February 18, 2008 Hi, on my gti6 engine the previous owner has put an oil breather filter onto the pipe that leads from the head to the throttle body, it is the k&n type one rather than the foil type pipercross one. I have heard the pipercross ones are supposed to be used as an oil breather whereas the k&n ones are more for stepper motor/inlet filtering. Im asking this as the filter on mine seems to be dribbling out oil onto my inlet manifold and needs to be cleaned up weekly, would a pipercross one stop this?
