need some way tp protect the speedo cable from the monster that is the gti6 manifold

 

was thinking of using some thick silver tin foil like tape a had kicking around but not sure if this will just bake the cable like a turky

 

am sure i remember seeing a pipe or hose on the 306 that was silver braided stuff

 

might try bnq at the weekend see what a can find

you can fit a cable from a 405, 1200mm long over 900 IIRC, makes it a lot easier to keep it away from the fanimold

You can buy heat mat from car builder solutions, its a white fabric matting with a foil type outer layer.

 

Simply cut to length wrap around it and tie it on with bits of wire or some of the those metal cable tie things for attaching exhaust wrapping.

 

That way no faffing around swapping your cable.
