2.1 Diesel Conversation ->205?

Is there anyone here that has swapped his original engine to a XUD11ATEY, aka 605's 2.1 Diesel?

 

I've got a 605 with this engine and is thinking about doing a convertion, if it fits that is.

Do you use a BE gearbox instead of the ME5LT?

yes, some Dutch madmen have done this I'll see if I can find a link, it was into a multivan.

Indeed, this is done by a Rudy Simons.

 

It fits, you have to hammer in the firewall though. You'll have to do this because the exhaust manifold (with turbo) won't fit.

He uses a 306 Turbodiesel gearbox. (no idea what number/type it is)

There was a white 205 2.1 t/d done locally by a mechanic at the local dealer's about 10 years ago - rapid, but I don't know any more about it
