It could be better but on the whole the numbers are even, your number 4 is a bit lower than the rest. Doesn't look unexpected for an older engine, e.g. not perfect but nothing dramatic wrong.

as above, reasonably matched

may be rather pedantic but No1 is at flywheel end on a PSA engine ;)

posted at work so had to be quick..

It's covered 118,000 odd miles and pulls reasonably well, only just found that adjusting the dizzy position really makes a difference!

Sometimes on a dry evening i'll start it up from cold and there'll be no white smoke from the exhaust. After a drive and the engine is at full temp i'll switch it off then when i return perhaps 25mins later and start it, white smoke appears.. Again after a drive this returns to normal..

This fact along with occasional flat performance led me to do a compression test; to establish whether the head gasket is puffing. The heaters still get hot but it has misfired on some of the hot days recently in traffic.

Also the spark plugs are coated in a bright white deposit, how can i stop it running too lean?

Thanks Rob
