K-light(why?)

hi!

 

I have strange problem with 1.9(motronic1.3)DKZ engine.When i start car(cold in the morning) K-light blink 3time and then light stay on,but if i turn off ignition and start again this odd think disapeer ;) .Car runing normal and K-light

no pop again.But after 3-4h(car not running) same problem again :lol: i search in old post but i dont find something like these ;)

you need to read out the error code it gives you and then you'll probably find out what's wrong with it :unsure:.

try just disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours as the ecu might need to reset itsself

you need to read out the error code it gives you and then you'll probably find out what's wrong with it ;).

i know this but dont have tester.... :blush:

It can be done with a bit of wire, do a search for motronic fault code read or something and it will show you how, basically you put a wire into the diagnostic plug then put the ignition on and earth the wire then the k light will flash the code out

Yes it can be done on DIY basis , just need to learn how to count bulb flashes ..

(inside you'll find self diagnose procedure explanation for all sorts of car brands and engine management types , the Motronic system and 205 GTi fault codes are also included :( )

I solve the problem :) with you help-of course :) change ECU change lambda(again) and reset ECU now work fine

cool... but have you tried the original ECU now you've sorted it out, to check if the ECU was the fault?

yes i try... ECU is vorking normal(old one) no erorr code's but still light comes sometime :)

i check with 3spare and all ok

oh well, maybe someone has "chipped" it in the past and eprom checksum is not 100% right.

 

that's unless it started showing error coded only recently which would mean it's simply buggered :).
