Suspension Measurements

Recommended Posts

averyaaron1979

can anyone tell me the correct measurement ie open and closed for the rear struts on either a 205 or 309 suspension?

is there any difference in a motosport designed suspension set up ie tarmac rear shocks?

what would be the correct dummy length for a shocker when dropping the car 45mm from original height?

this is just so i can set up my rear beam that i am currently rebuilding for the sprint season

thanks

i forgot to also put on there i am going for a set of bilstein tarmac inserts for the front with custom strut bodies and height adjustable platforms for the front.

did want a 45mm drop and i was under the impression that 240ld springs as i was aiming for a 27mm arb and 24/25 rear t/b's on the rear end.

or would that be overkill for this?

the car should weigh aroung 800kilos and will only be track use and never see a road, well it will for moving to and from the trailer. :)

any particular reason for lowering it that much? personally I would leave it a bit higher to keep a little more suspension movement.

wp that was a rough idea but it would end up more like 35mm to start with and then work from there.
