yeah its only held in by a inverted clip(if that makes any sense) its quite easy to pull out. Once the master cylinder is back in, the end of the m/c will be touching it and all play removed

I tried adjusting mine today but couldn't get the thread to shift :) Even after a liberal dosing of Plusgas. Is it possible to take it apart easily, to get the rod in a vice to free it up?

Yeah just pull the whole thing out theres a retaining clip that holds it in place but that will come out with it, just grip the shaft in a vice and unscrew the end nut. It was really tight when i undid mine

Cheers for the advice Matt. ;) So have I got this right? You just grab hold of the pushrod with something like molegrips and pull it out? Doesn't that shag up the retaining clip? How do you get it back in place afterwards?

yep just get some mole grips or needle nosed pliers on it. No the clip doesn't hold it in very tightly and isn't damaged when you pull it out. When you put it back in you just need a flat blade screwdriver to press the clip back into the servo. Bit hard to explain but will make sense once you pull it out and see it in the flesh

Oh well, that facked it, looks like I won't be using my car for a while. Pulled on the pushrod and it's just distorted the clip and wouldn't pull out :D So time to remove the servo and see if I can take it apart on the bench, adjust it and straighten the clip, before reassembling it, hopefully :) . Otherwise time for another servo.
