Spax Top Bolt (not Wanting To Let Go)

I am having trouble removing a top bolt (the big one on top of the suspension). its one where you insert a alan key to keep the shaft still and use a ring spanner to undo it, however the previous owner has shafted the inner alan key location and its mangled, now to get the top nut of i can chisel it to split it and hence remove it, however i want to know if when i put the car back together if i loosely put the nut back on , and then put the suspension back on the car, once the weight is on it will my impact gun manage to do the nut back up.

 

 

Also just to add i snapped the end of the bolt which which clamps the bottom of the suspension onto the hub, i put a punch on it and hit it with a hammer, but it failed to move, would i be right in thinking i should heat it up and then try again hit the bolt free.

impact gun should be able to remove it as well as do it up

 

soak the offending bolt in a penetrating fluid and knock it out with a punch+hammer, what many people fail to do is add a decent weight Ball-pein hammer to their toolkit, something like a 24 or 32oz is invaluable.
