Original Stereo?!

The clarion was the original stereo wasn't it?

 

Does anyone know what model the CD player version was?

 

Would like to see if i can get hold of one for my car.

 

If not i'll buy a nice shiny new one, but i think having the original would be quite nice

the CD player fitted to the 1FM was a Clarion as well. I cant remember the exact model number but it is in a copy of Torque (PSOOC magazine) in an article they did on the 1FM

Oh was it only the 1FM which had the CD player?

 

I thought most of the later 205's had them as standard.

Ok so after some more research i've found that there was only a tape player in the peugeots, apart from the 1FM version, which i'm not going to be able to find.

 

So what CD player would you guys recommend for the 205?

 

Would like to look like it belonged there if you know what i mean.

I have a Clarion DRX8175R and CDC 9250 autochanger that was from a Peugeot of the early 90's era.

Going to be pulling it out and fitting a tape player pretty soon and use one of those FM modulators to control another changer. Not sure if this was the CD player model fitted to said 1FM, but must be pretty close.

I've gone for an Alpine CDE-9870RM because it looks kind of dated and like it will suit the 205. It is amber backlit too so should look peachy.

 

It will handle MP3 CDs and can control an iPod - not bad for £85
