stuart_knight6 0 Posted February 1, 2008 I have just completely restored my car and rebuilt most of the floor, wings and engine bay. I am now ready to paint the interior and underside, but I am unsure of what products to use and which order to use them. The shell has been sandblasted and then etch primed. My assumption. Etch prime - U-pol Seam seal - Tiger seal Prime Stone chip Body colour I am along the right lines and should i use any wax underseal products?
Paintguy 0 Posted February 2, 2008 That sounds about right to me, but I'd suggest an extra layer of primer between the stonechip and body colour - just to ensure good adhesion. It's not always 100% necessary, but you only want to be doing this job once
Stu 18 Posted February 2, 2008 As above, i did the same on a previous resto, the layer of primer on top of the stonechip is a good adhesion point for the top coat. I take it the primer/top coat is 2k?
