Recommended Posts

Would it be ok to use gasket paste on the thermo stat housing or just get a new gasket? :D

Depends what gasket paste; I used to regularly use silicone sealant which was fine when experimenting with different rated thermostats. Just need to put a bead round then on half tighten it up, leave it for a few hours then tighten a little more but not too tight.

i usually use a hylomar compound. Best to always keep a sheet of gasket paper, only takes 5 mins to make a decent gasket
