notamondayfan 44 Posted January 30, 2008 hey guys, still planning the conversion, and this is my current querry. i have a 1.9gti with PAS, and a 1.9mi engine. i would idealy like to keep the PAS, as it's a everyday car, but i dont know whats involved in getting it to work with the mi. what has everyone else done? cheers, dean Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ryan 99 Posted January 30, 2008 The easiest way is to use the Mi16 PAS pump which sits on a bracket on top of the gearbox and is driven by a belt from the end of the exhaust cam. Some diesel 205s have a similar set-up and you can use the pipework from one of these to get everything hooked up. I'm not sure which pipes you need exactly, but I'm sure someone else will. Super Josh 4 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) As you will have spotted the PAS pump is driven of the exhaust cam on the Mi. This is the same as on a 205 Diesel. So either use the pipework from a 205 Diesel or get a custom pipe made by your local Pirtek type place.
