Swapping Seats - Passenger To Driver!

Hi, i know this is the wrong place but need an urgent answer.

 

Is it possible to swap the 205 gti seats from side to side, i want to make my passenger seat my new drivers seat. Swapping th subframes is simple, but the thing giving me grief is the adjuster on the side that tilts the back of the seat forward/back.

 

Iv unclipped the plastic cover/winding handle and there is a trianglar shapped piece of metal attached to the seat. common sense suggests you can pull it off and swap it to the other side of the seat - but can you??

 

Hope someone knows what i mean

the quickest way would have been a search. it can'te doe as your suggesting, only way to do it is to remaove the covers and cushions and swap the over.

It's not too difficult. I took video clips when doing this, and it made it very simple on putting it all back together again. However you will need either hog rings with hog ring pliers, or electrical copper wire that is used in the wire house lighting circuit stripped of the PVC cover and a pair of pliers to re-attach the the car seat covers.

in terms of difficulty, not at all, just need to remember where everything goes. as regards the hog rings, i reused them and used a set of pliers.
