Exhaust Mismount - How Severe An Effect?

well, on the way down i found that the exhaust manifold was cracked, there were a couple of studs missing and one port had 2no. gaskets. no, not just the same one split apart.

 

engine still not back in yet (this has become a bit of an issue but we're coping...) i've found lots of little problems needing solving on the recieving car, this is the first significant on the donor.

 

i know this engine in the donor always felt a bit light on the power front.

 

is it possible i've just found a good chunk of the reason? or would that be too much to hope...

 

i just need cheering up at this point in the way over-time mini project...
