Speedo Not Working After I Changed The Diff

no i'm pretty sure i got the cable in ok.

 

have i put the cover back on the diff wrong???

just thought,

 

i have swapped the 1.9 box for a the new 1.6 box which has the new diff

 

can i put the 1.9 speedodrive cover on the 1.6 box???

Did you remember to put the large plastic gear over the end of the diff (where the d/s driveshaft goes in)?

If the cable is in properly it must be the plastic gear.

i have had a similar problem . i had inadvertently pulled the cable out the back of the clocks . its very easy to not clip the speedo cable ito the back of the clocks when refitting the binnacle, and my pulling around at the gearbox end had popped it off the clocks at the other end.
